Job summary

BestStart Education – Hamilton, North Island, is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher for a permanent part-time role (30 hours per week) in the under 2s room. Join a dedicated team that fosters play-based learning, exploration and supportive relationships to help young children thrive.

You’ll hold a BEd or Diploma in Teaching (Level 7) with current teaching registration, demonstrate knowledge of Te Whāriki and ECE regulations, and work collaboratively to deliver high-quality learning

Qualifications

• Holds a BEd/Dip Teaching Level 7 qualification in ECE or Primary, with current teacher registration/certification
• Has a strong understanding of child-led curriculum and can confidently extend children’s learning
• Has sound knowledge of current ECE regulations and Te Whāriki, with a strong commitment to compliance
• Demonstrates a genuine commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in everyday practice
• Is passionate about teaching, learning and making a positive difference in children’s lives
• Enjoys working collaboratively and contributing to a supportive, positive team environment
