Job summary

Barnardos Early Learning Centre Oamaru is seeking a qualified ECE Teacher for 35 hours per week on a 0.9 FTE basis. The role focuses on delivering Te Whāriki-aligned learning, planning and documenting children's progress within a supportive, community-focused centre.

Qualifications

• Early childhood teaching qualification recognised by the Teaching Council of Aotearoa, New Zealand (required).
• Current Teaching Council of Aotearoa, New Zealand Practising Certificate (required).
• Experience working as a teacher in an early childhood education team setting.
• Ability to use initiative and adapt to new environments quickly.
• Commitment to quality practice and the principles of Te Whāriki.
• Excellent communication, planning and organisation skills.
• Enthusiasm for making a difference in children’s early years.
• Strong desire to build connections with whānau and families.
