Job summary

IMG in Rotorua is seeking a qualified Carpenter for a varied role across our Rotorua workshop and customer sites in the Southern region, including the Eastern Bay of Plenty and Kinleith.

You will work on carpentry, construction, maintenance and repair tasks, reading plans and coordinating with the Job Manager to meet timelines. A full NZ driver’s licence is required, with a forklift licence advantageous.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified in Carpentry or equivalent recognised qualification.
• At least 3 years' experience as a qualified Carpenter.
• Experience across general carpentry, construction, maintenance and repair work.
• Confident reading plans, drawings and specifications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Customer-focused with commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physically fit for work across sites and environments.
• Willing to travel throughout the Southern region (Eastern Bay of Plenty and Kinleith).
• Holds a full NZ driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and with the wider team.
• Support planned and reactive maintenance, projects and shutdown work across the Southern region.
• Assist with scoping, planning and estimating carpentry and maintenance work.
• Coordinate materials, tools and equipment for efficient job completion.
• Complete job cards, timesheets and required documentation accurately.
• Maintain high workmanship standards and ensure jobs are done right.
• Work safely and maintain tidy, organised work areas.

We are looking for a qualified Carpenter to join our team based at our Rotorua Workshop.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Carpenter who enjoys variety and wants to work across a range of projects, maintenance and customer sites throughout the Southern region.

Based in Rotorua, you will support work across the Eastern Bay of Plenty and Kinleith, including on customer sites. You will work alongside our wider team across civil, engineering, maintenance and other trades to deliver quality work for our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out carpentry, construction, maintenance and repair work across workshop, site and customer locations.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is:

• Trade qualified in Carpentry or holds an equivalent recognised qualification.

• Physically fit and comfortable working across different sites and environments.
• Willing and able to travel throughout the Southern region, including the Eastern Bay of Plenty and Kinleith.
• Holds a full NZ driver's licence.
• Committed to working safely and following health and safety requirements.

A Forklift Licence would be advantageous.
