Job summary

Industry Skills Boards seeks a Qualifications Development Facilitator to engage with industry and providers to develop and maintain qualifications, standards, micro-credentials and related products to support vocational education for a diverse range of sectors. The role requires proven experience in design and development of qualifications, standards and/or programmes.

You will manage multiple projects to deadlines, facilitate diverse groups (in person or online) and translate complex concepts

Qualifications

  • Experience designing qualifications, standards and programmes for vocational education.
  • Knowledge of NZQA quality assurance systems is beneficial.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects to deadlines and facilitate diverse groups (face-to-face or online).
  • Commitment to te reo Māori me ōna tikanga and mātauranga Māori valued.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with industry and providers to develop and maintain qualifications, standards, and micro-credentials.
  • Translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders to support informed discussions.
  • Deliver products that build confidence in graduates' skills across sectors.

Te āhua o Te Tūrunga – The nature of the position

Is your dream jobfinding out about what other people do in their jobs? We are looking for a QualificationsDevelopment Facilitator to do just that in an existing team. This role involvesengaging with industry and providers to develop and maintain a range ofqualifications, standards, micro-credentials and other products to support vocationaleducation for our diverse range of sectors.


Proven experience in design and development of qualifications,standards and/or programmes for vocational education is essential, while knowledgeof NZQA quality assurance systems is also beneficial. Competency in andcommitment to te reo Māori me ōna tikanga including mātauranga Māori (Māorilanguage, customs, protocols and knowledge) are equally valued.


You will be able to manage multiple projects to deadlines,including facilitating diverse groups (both face-to-face and online) to produceproducts that ensure our sectors have confidence in the skills of graduates. Thiswill require translating complex technical concepts for both industry andeducation experts to ensure robust and informed discussion.


This role can be based remotely or in our Wellington office.


We’d love to hear from you if you have:



  • Strong analytical, writing, and editing skills

  • Knowledge and experience of the NZQCF and thesecondary or tertiary education sector

  • Ability to operate in te ao Māori and a diverserange of New Zealand contexts, including vocational and kaupapa Māori educationsystems

  • Passion for the creative, electrotechnology andinformation technology sectors

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills

  • Ability to manage self to work both independentlyand within a team

  • Perseverance, stamina and are solution focused

  • A passion to give voice to te ao Māori invocational education.
