PwC New Zealand is seeking an experienced Pursuits and Proposals Manager to lead complex pursuits and shape winning propositions. You will partner with Partners, Directors and subject matter experts to position PwC for success through high-quality proposals and strategic client messaging.

Based in Auckland, Christchurch or Wellington, this full-time 12-month fixed-term role focuses on governance, collaboration and leveraging technology to drive pursuit outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years leading complex pursuits, bids or proposals in professional services.
• Experience in Big Four, consulting or professional services preferred.
• Ability to influence senior Partners, Directors and stakeholders.
• Exceptional facilitation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking with value propositions.

As a Pursuits and Proposals Manager within our Markets team, you'll play a critical role in helping PwC secure and grow some of our most significant client engagements. Partnering closely with Partners, Directors and subject matter experts across the firm, you'll lead the pursuit strategy and proposal development behind complex, high-value opportunities. This is not a traditional business development or sales role. Rather than owning client relationships or negotiating commercial agreements, you'll sit at the centre of the pursuit process, bringing together the right people, insights and solutions to position PwC for success.

We're seeking an experienced pursuits professional with a background in professional services or consulting who can influence senior stakeholders, shape winning strategies, and drive high-quality pursuit outcomes. You'll combine strategic thinking, stakeholder influence, commercial acumen and project leadership to develop compelling client propositions and ensure our teams present their strongest possible response to clients.

This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term parental leave cover opportunity based in Auckland, Christchurch or Wellington.

Skills you will bring or develop in this role

• 7+ years' experience leading complex pursuits, bids or proposals within a professional services, consulting, legal, engineering or similarly expertise-led environment.
• Experience within a Big Four, consulting, legal or professional services firm is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of how professional services organisations position and differentiate complex client solutions.
• Proven ability to influence, challenge and coach Partners, Directors and other senior stakeholders.
• Exceptional facilitation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to develop compelling value propositions and winning strategies.
• Outstanding writing, editing and presentation development capability.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to drive multiple high-profile pursuits simultaneously.
• A collaborative, quality-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
