Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead digital transformation initiatives for public sector clients. The role combines remote planning with essential on-site stakeholder meetings, site visits and team collaboration to deliver technology-enabled public services.

You will oversee end-to-end projects, ensure compliance with regulations, and engage with government entities to deliver measurable citizen benefits. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Public Administration, Business or related field.
• PMP certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with substantial public sector or government IT project exposure.
• Experience managing projects in a hybrid work setting, balancing remote work with on-site requirements.
• Strong understanding of government procurement processes, regulations and public service delivery challenges.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement with public sector entities.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools relevant to government projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of digital transformation projects for public sector clients, from initiation to implementation.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, define scope, manage budgets and oversee resources.
• Coordinate with government agencies, IT departments and external vendors to ensure success.
• Ensure adherence to public sector regulations, security protocols and data privacy standards.
• Conduct regular progress reviews and stakeholder meetings, both remotely and in person.
• Identify and manage project risks and issues with effective mitigation strategies.
