Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent qualification.
• Eligibility to obtain, or hold, a New Zealand practising certificate.
• Up to 5 years' post-qualification experience, or equivalent relevant legal experience.
• Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of legislation across MBIE's regulatory systems.
• Provide legal advice on regulatory and operational matters.
• Draft drafting instructions and legal opinions, where required.
• Build stakeholder relationships and contribute to the legislative process.
