Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee significant infrastructure development projects in Queenstown. This role is crucial for managing the planning, execution, and delivery of projects related to the development and upgrade of essential infrastructure. You will work with engineering teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure projects meet technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and community needs, all while staying within budget and schedule. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of infrastructure development lifecycles, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete lifecycle of infrastructure projects, from feasibility studies and design to construction and commissioning.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, budget estimation, resource allocation, and risk assessment.
• Oversee and coordinate the work of engineering teams, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure strict adherence to all relevant building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
• Monitor project progress, manage changes, and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during execution.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports, financial updates, and project documentation to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; PMP certification is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Project Management , with a significant focus on infrastructure development projects (e.g., roads, utilities, public facilities).
• Proven ability to manage large-scale projects, budgets, and complex contracts.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools relevant to infrastructure projects.
