The role focuses on end-to-end delivery of complex civil works in New Zealand, driving project performance and governance while mentoring multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering bridge reconstruction projects as a Project Manager for a main contractor.
• Proven ability to deliver multi-million-dollar bridge/structures projects in New Zealand.
• Strong knowledge of bridge construction methods, temporary works, and traffic management.
• Record of managing programmes, budgets, and commercial outcomes on complex civil projects.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of bridge reconstruction and related civil works (foundations, substructure, superstructure, deck, approaches, utilities, and traffic management).
• Develop and manage project programmes, resources, procurement, and risk registers.
• Drive commercial performance: budget, cost control, forecasting, variations, and claims.
• Manage contracts (NZS 3910, D&C, Alliance-style) and ensure robust governance and reporting.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, authorities, and delivery partners.
• Champion health & safety, quality assurance, and environmental compliance on site.

About the Company

The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead bridge reconstruction projects from tender/handover through to completion. You’ll own delivery across programme, cost, safety, quality, and stakeholder outcomes, working closely with site teams, subcontractors, designers, and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of bridge reconstruction and associated civil works (foundations, substructure, superstructure, deck, approaches, utilities, and traffic management).
• Develop and manage project programmes, resources, procurement, and risk registers.
