Job summary

Southbase Construction is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team delivering the façade push-out and plaza works at Auckland Airport. You will coordinate structural, façade and civil interfaces with the live terminal and forecourt, driving engineering coordination and design resolution.

This role operates in a live, 24/7 airport environment, requiring effective subcontractor coordination, rigorous planning and a strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of commercial construction engineering experience.
• A relevant engineering or construction qualification.
• Strong technical, planning and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate structural, façade and civil interfaces with live terminal.
• Drive engineering coordination, design resolution and sequencing.
• Manage subcontractor coordination, procurement and documentation.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to high quality.
• Support and mentor junior engineers with the project team.

• Coordinate structural, façade and civil interfaces with the live terminal and forecourt.
• Drive engineering coordination, design resolution and construction sequencing.
• Manage subcontractor coordination, procurement and technical documentation.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
• Support and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with the wider project team.

What you'll bring:

• A relevant engineering or construction qualification.
• At least five years' commercial construction engineering experience.
• Strong technical, planning and problem-solving skills.
• A commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.

Structural construction experience and familiarity with Aconex, MS Project or Primavera are advantageous.
