Job summary

Ministry of Health NZ – Wellington, North Island is seeking a Project Coordinator to provide high-quality project coordination and administrative support to the Central Regional Hub team, helping keep projects on track and delivering outcomes across New Zealand's health sector.

You will coordinate planning, reporting, risk management and governance, while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support successful project outcomes.

  • Build strong stakeholder relationships across the Agency, Ministry, health sector, government and external partners to support successful project outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement by enhancing project management practices, improving systems and processes, and contributing to a culture of collaboration and excellence.

As a Project Coordinator with Te Aho o Te Kahu | Cancer Control Agency, you will provide high-quality project coordination and administrative support to the Central Regional Hub team, as well as a range of Agency projects and work programmes. Working alongside experienced leaders and stakeholders, you'll help keep projects on track, coordinate key activities, and ensure high-quality outcomes are delivered. No two days will be the same, with a mix of project coordination, stakeholder engagement, relationship management and operational support in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment where your contribution will have a meaningful impact.

In this role, you will:

  • Excellent relationship-building, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to work across diverse groups.
  • Advanced organisation skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to use initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and working with data, reporting and documentation to support informed decision-making.
  • An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to working in a way that supports equity, inclusion and positive outcomes for all communities.
