Job summary

Environmental Protection Authority NZ in Wellington is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead two critical initiatives: AI implementation and Hazardous Substances Improvement Programme. The role requires governance, delivery planning, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will guide senior leaders, manage dependencies, and coach other project managers to ensure timely, on-budget delivery aligned with EPA priorities.

Qualifications

Extensive experience leading large-scale programmes in complex organisations.
Ability to design, build, and deliver technology solutions.
Strong governance, planning, risk, reporting, and benefits realisation skills.
Experience leading organisational change initiatives and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

Lead two major EPA programs: AI initiatives implementation and Hazardous Substances Improvement Programme.
Establish and manage programme governance and delivery plans.
Manage risks, dependencies, budgets, and timelines to ensure outcomes.
Provide project and change leadership to fellow project managers and collaborate with senior leaders.
