Te whiwhinga mahi - Our opportunity

Are you exceptionally organised, a great communicator, and someone who enjoys being at the centre of a busy and complex programme?

We’re looking for a Programme Coordinator to join the Programme Management Office supporting our Technology Modernisation Programme.

This is a key role in helping ensure the programme is a well-oiled machine. You’ll coordinate our governance forums, help produce high-quality reporting that supports effective oversight and decision-making, keep actions and programme information on track, and make sure the right people have the right information at the right time.

You’ll work alongside a broad mix of programme team members, senior leaders and specialist delivery partners, so strong communication and relationship management skills are essential.

Success in this role will require strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective relationships across a wide range of stakeholders. You will be confident managing competing priorities, improving administrative processes, and ensuring programme governance and reporting activities are delivered accurately and on time.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working in large, complex programmes or transformation environments

  • Is extremely well organised, with strong attention to detail and follow-through

  • Understands programme governance, reporting and coordination

  • Can juggle competing priorities and keep things moving in a fast-paced environment

  • Builds strong relationships and communicates confidently with people at all levels

  • Is proactive, pragmatic and always looking for ways to make things run better

It’s a great opportunity to work at the heart of a significant organisation-wide transformation and play a very practical role in helping the programme deliver successfully.

As a Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities employee, we want to make sure that you have all the tools and support you need. We want to ensure you are healthy and have work-life balance. We also want to support and grow your personal and career development through on-the-job learning, training courses, secondments and study opportunities.
