Job summary

Hynds in Winton, New Zealand, is seeking a Production Technician for our precast concrete manufacturing team. This hands-on role involves setting up moulds, assembling reinforcement, pouring and finishing concrete, and operating production machinery in a safety-first environment.

You will read technical drawings, perform quality checks, and contribute to continuous improvement while growing your skills within a leading New Zealand business.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, concrete, precast, carpentry, steel fixing, or a similar hands-on environment.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Commitment to health and safety.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to undertake manual work.
• Gantry crane, forklift, reinforcement, or manufacturing experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a motivated and safety-focused Production Technician to join our Winton manufacturing team.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll help manufacture high-quality precast concrete products while working alongside a supportive team in a safety-first environment. You’ll gain exposure to a range of production processes and have opportunities to develop your skills within a leading New Zealand business.
