Job summary

Hynds Limited is seeking a hands-on Production Technician for our Pukekohe team to help manufacture high-quality precast concrete products.

You will contribute to mould setup, reinforcement assembly, concrete placement, finishing, quality control, and continuous improvement while prioritising safety and efficiency. This role suits someone with concrete production experience and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience in concrete production or precast environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong focus on quality, safety and productivity.
• Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Forklift endorsement, gantry crane experience, or reinforcement knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set up and dismantle moulds for concrete products.
• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Assemble formwork and reinforcement cages.
• Place, pour, and finish concrete products.
• Operate production and manufacturing equipment.
• Ensure products meet Hynds quality standards.
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S practices.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Support production targets and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.

About the Role

As a Production Technician, you'll play an important role in the safe and efficient manufacture of precast concrete products. This is a varied position where you'll work across multiple production areas, contributing to mould setup, reinforcement assembly, concrete placement and finishing, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and dismantle moulds for concrete products
• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
• Assemble formwork and reinforcement cages
• Place, pour, and finish concrete products
• Operate production and manufacturing equipment
• Ensure products meet Hynds quality standards
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and 5S practices
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements
• Support production targets and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work collaboratively as part of a high-performing team

What We're Looking For

• Experience in concrete production, precast, carpentry, steel fixing, manufacturing, or automated production environments
