Job summary

CSR is seeking a hands-on Production Operator to join our Interior Systems team in Penrose, Auckland. You will contribute to daily production of customer orders, operate equipment after training, and help maintain quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm. You’ll collaborate with supervisors and the team, complete documentation, participate in cross-training, and support warehouse activities while upholding high housekeeping and

  • Operate production equipment, including saws and guillotines.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Complete production documentation and material usage records accurately.
  • Report equipment faults, safety concerns, material shortages, or production delays.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and support efficient warehouse operations.
  • Participate in cross-training to develop skills across multiple production processes.

Job description

We're looking for a hands‑on, safety‑focused Production Operator to join our Interior Systems team in Penrose. If you enjoy working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, take pride in producing quality work, and are committed to working safely every day, we'd love to hear from you.

About the role

As a Production Operator, you'll play an important role in the day‑to‑day production of customer orders, ensuring products are manufactured accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You'll work closely with the DC Supervisor, Production Supervisor, and wider team to support both production and warehouse operations.

Work hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 330pm.

Key responsibilities
  • Safely complete daily production activities in line with customer orders and production schedules.
  • Measure, cut, assemble, cap, finish, quality‑check, and package products.
  • Operate production equipment, including saws and guillotines, once trained and authorised.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Complete production documentation and material usage records accurately.
  • Report equipment faults, safety concerns, material shortages, or production delays.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and support efficient warehouse operations.
  • Participate in cross‑training to develop skills across multiple production processes.
What you’ll bring
  • Experience in manufacturing, production, warehousing, or a similar hands‑on environment - essential
  • Ability to read and follow production orders, measurements, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
  • A proactive approach to workplace safety.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Reliability, accountability, and a positive attitude.
  • Forklift licence preferred, but not essential.
