Job summary

Farro is hiring two full-time Production Kitchen Assistants for our Remuera/Orakei production kitchen, next to the Orakei train station. You will prepare and assemble a range of products under the Production Manager and Assistant Manager, with duties centered in a busy, collaborative kitchen environment.

Roles run 35 hours per week with early and late shifts: 6am–2pm Tue–Sat and 12:30pm–8:30pm Sat–Wed. Applicants should have kitchen experience and a passion for quality food.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of food and food preparation.
• Commercial kitchen experience and knife handling skills.
• Good eye for detail and high standards.
• Ability to follow recipes proficiently.
• Clean and tidy work habits.
• Solid understanding of health and safety and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and assembling products under the guidance of the Production Manager and Assistant Manager.
• Follow recipes accurately and contribute to kitchen output.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas in the production kitchen.
