MoaTrek in New Zealand is seeking a Product and Supplier Specialist to keep our tours running seamlessly by coordinating bookings, suppliers, and logistics while supporting the sales team to fill departures.

You will ensure supplier booking accuracy, manage instructional documentation for tour driver/guides, nurture Kiwi business relationships, oversee payments, and collaborate with Sales and Operations to deliver flawless departures, including occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

  • Experience in travel and tourism industry preferred.
  • Strong account/relationship management experience.
  • Detail-oriented with proactive approach.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate bookings with suppliers and logistics to run tours smoothly.
  • Maintain accurate supplier documentation for driver/guides to ensure a 5-star experience.
  • Nurture supplier relationships and negotiate the best deals for MoaTrek.
  • Oversee payments and costings to support finance.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations to keep departures full and on schedule.
  • Assist with tour design and identify new travel experiences.
  • Occasional weekend work may be required.

Job description

As Product and Supplier Specialist, you will help us create extraordinary NZ experiences by keeping our tours running seamlessly. It’s a variety-filled role including managing bookings, suppliers and logistics, and supporting the sales team fill departures.

Detail, detail, detail: Ensure supplier booking accuracy, manage instructional documentation for our tour driver/guides so they can deliver a 5-star experience.

Supplier relationship management:Nurture great Kiwi business relationships and negotiating the best deals.

Finance support:Oversee payments and costings.

Team support:Work closely with Sales and Operations to ensure our departures are full and our execution is flawless. This may involve occasional weekend work.

Product development: Assist with tour design and seeking out new, amazing travel experiences.

This is not an entry level position. You’ve got strong account/relationship management experience. Ideally, you have travel and tourism industry experience, however the right attributes, a strong knowledge of NZ and an interest in building a career in tourism are more important.
