Job summary

Fisher Paykel Healthcare, East Tamaki in Auckland, New Zealand, is seeking engineers to join our team at the forefront of MedTech. Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a relevant engineering role.
  • Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn from others.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • A proactive attitude with a desire to take ownership and grow.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, quality).
  • Supporting the design and development of innovative medical devices.
  • Creating and testing prototypes, and contributing to iterative design improvements.
  • Assisting with product validation, documentation, and design reviews.
  • Contributing to projects from early-stage concepts through to release.
  • Learning and applying quality and regulatory standards in a healthcare environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

About You

Skills & Experience (Exposure to any of the below is beneficial):
  • Prototype design and hands-on building
  • Manufacturing methods (e.g. injection moulding)
  • Product testing and technical documentation
  • Basic project coordination or planning
  • Awareness of medical device standards or regulated environments (not essential)
