Job summary

New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) is seeking a passionate Product Designer, Design Systems to shape foundations for design at scale in Wellington.

You’ll own NZTE's design system, ensure consistency across customer-facing digital products, and collaborate with designers, developers and product teams to deliver intuitive, accessible experiences. You’ll also explore AI opportunities to enhance design practice and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong UI design capability and experience with design systems.
• Experience designing within or contributing to design systems.
• Curious about AI, emerging technologies and the future of digital design.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve NZTE's design system, including reusable components, patterns and documentation.
• Improve consistency, accessibility and quality across our digital products.
• Partner with product and technology teams to deliver design solutions to high standards.
• Explore emerging technologies and how AI can be thoughtfully incorporated into design practice.
