New World Howick is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused person to join our Produce team on a casual basis. You will help pack fresh fruit and vegetables, ensure displays are stocked and tidy, and assist customers with a friendly approach. Experience in food retail is beneficial, but the right attitude and strong communication skills are valued.

Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand and able to lift crates. Hours are on a casual basis and will be discussed at interview.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and customer focused individual to join our team in Produce on a casual basis. Preference will be given to applicants with high presentation standards, who are highly self-motivated and have excellent communication skills to complement an already efficient and successful team.

The Role:

You will assist in the packing of all fresh fruit and vegetables, ensuring displays and shelves are appropriately stocked and merchandised. You will proactively engage and assist customers in a friendly manner. You will also assist in keeping the department clean, tidy and attractively presented.

Experience & Attributes Required:

• Food retail, supermarket, fresh food or produce experience is beneficial.
• Customer and results focused.
• Strong relationship builder, team player and problem solver.
• Strong communication skills both spoken and written.
• Able to maintain standards and have an eye for detail.
• Physically fit and comfortable lifting vegetable/fruit crates

Hours of Work:

Hours are on a casual basis and will be discussed at interview.
