Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Procurement Specialist to own the day-to-day procurement and inbound logistics across New Zealand and Australia, ensuring stock lands in the right place at the right time. Based at Vanguard's Lower Hutt head office, this full-time, on-site role invites you to manage purchase orders, supplier relationships, and cross-border freight with a hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Placing and managing purchase orders across a wide and varied product range.
• Owning day-to-day supplier relationships, from communication through to order fulfilment.
• Coordinating inbound freight and logistics across New Zealand and Australia.
• Balancing stock levels across multiple distribution hubs.
• Flagging supplier and sourcing opportunities or risks to the Procurement & Product Manager.
• Working closely with the wider team to keep goods moving from order to arrival.

The Role

Vanguard is looking for a Procurement Specialist to own the day-to-day procurement and inbound logistics that keep the business moving. From placing purchase orders through to managing supplier relationships and coordinating inbound freight across New Zealand and Australia, you'll be the person who makes sure the right stock lands in the right place at the right time.

This role sits at the centre of a genuinely wide product range, small fittings one day, large specialised items the next, so it suits someone who's comfortable switching gears rather than working in one lane. You’ll likely bring:

• Procurement, supply chain, or logistics experience, ideally with some formal training behind it
• Comfort managing a wide, varied product range rather than one category
• Experience working across multiple distribution centres or hubs
• Confidence to bring options and make the call, rather than waiting to be told
• NetSuite experience helpful; NetStock exposure a bonus

The Details

This is a full-time, permanent role based at Vanguard's head office in Lower Hutt, five days a week on site. Hours are flexible around a 42.5-hour week. Benefits include birthday leave and flexible start times.
