Job summary

NZ Post is seeking a Processing Officer / Forklift Operator for our Christchurch Processing Centre on Syd Bradley Road. You will drive a forklift for up to 6 hours per shift, sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight, and support our couriers to keep delivery on track.

We value safety and teamwork; a restricted driver license with F endorsement or an OSH certificate is required, along with the ability to lift up to 25 kg and a reliable, detail-minded approach.

Qualifications

• Be available to work Monday to Friday 10.30am – 7pm.
• Have a minimum of a restricted driver license and either F endorsement OR Current OSH certificate.
• Be a committed teammate, keeping yourself, others and the site safe.
• Energy for a physically demanding role – can you lift up to 25kgs?
• An eye for detail and good geographical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight at Christchurch Processing Centre.
• Drive a forklift for up to 6 hours per shift.
• Support couriers to deliver results on time.

About the role

Our Processing Officers create the magic by sorting, consolidating and dispatching parcels and freight at our Christchurch Processing Centre, ready for our couriers to deliver. We're a lively bunch, with a diverse set of skills, but we all share one common goal - to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our beautiful Aotearoa. This role will see you driving a forklift for up to 6 hours per shift, so experience, professionalism and a focus on health and safety is a must.
