Job summary

New Zealand Post is seeking a Processing Officer at the Auckland Processing Centre in Wiri. This six-month fixed-term contract runs Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, with a starting hourly rate of $26.75 plus applicable night shift premiums for eligible hours.

You will sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight to support our couriers and keep New Zealand moving. Applicants must lift up to 25 kg, work safely in a team, and have good geographical awareness and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Be available to work Mondays to Fridays 2pm–10:30pm and commit to a six-month fixed term contract.
• Maintain accuracy in sorting, consolidating and dispatching parcels.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and safe handling of goods.
• Display good geographical awareness to support route planning.

Responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels at Auckland Processing Centre, Wiri.
• Support couriers to ensure timely delivery of parcels and freight.
• Maintain safe work practices and assist with site security checks.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily processing targets.
