Job summary

Bluebird Foods Ltd in New Zealand seeks a Process Operator to run highly automated cooking and packaging lines. You will input data into computerised systems, monitor flavour accuracy, and carry out quality checks as part of a busy production team.

• Support flavour testing and ensure flavor accuracy per product runs.
• Perform quality checks and manage materials and waste per standards.

We're looking for a reliable, safety-focused Process Operator to join our high-performing team in Wiri. These roles operate our heavily automated machinery. All applications must have full time legal work rights in NZ.

• Location: Wiri
• Roster Shifts: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 7.00am - 3.00pm
• Position: Permanent Full Time
• Selection Process: Interview - Assessment - Background/Pre-Employment Medical Checks - Decision

What You Will Be Doing

• Operating industrial cooking equipment and production machinery.
• Operating the heavily robotic machinery that packages our chips into packets, and also into boxes.
• Record, report and input accurate data into computerised systems.
• Ensure flavour testing is completed effectively, and accurate flavour is supplied in accordance with product runs.
• Complete quality checks as required, with management of materials and waste.

About You

• Minimum NCEA Level 1-3 or Equivalent
• Previous experience with processing machine operation is advantageous but not essential
• Understanding of HACCP/GMP is advantageous
• Safety conscious
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A high mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail, safety and reliability.
• Work as part of an efficient Food Production Team
