Job summary

Qualifications
- Extensive road safety engineering experience.
- Expertise in safety treatments and crash analysis.
- Knowledge of NZ land transport system and legislation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate regional safety programmes and connect regional risks with national priorities.
- Act as a technical authority, providing assurance on complex safety interventions and risks.
- Shape safety outcomes across planning, investment, delivery, and operations.
- Translate evidence into clear, actionable recommendations for decision-makers.
- Collaborate with Principal Engineers to share regional insight and improve practice.
- Mentor and coach engineers and senior engineers across the Safety Practice.
