Job summary

Insight is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer Principal in Auckland to embed with client teams and deliver end-to-end AI and data solutions. You will connect Insight accelerators with client data, tools, processes and people, owning outcomes and translating complex business problems into structured technical solutions.

You will work across discovery, design, build, deployment, enablement and handover, collaborating with CTOs and frontline users while maintaining technical excellence and

Qualifications

• Shipped real software through full lifecycle delivery (discovery to handover).
• Experience in consulting, professional-services or embedded-engineering.

Responsibilities

• Discover & Frame: run discovery workshops, translate business problems into solution architecture, frame scope for fixed-price envelopes.
• Build & Deploy: architect and deliver production-grade solutions across data pipelines, APIs, UIs, and ML/LLM components.
• Enable & Embed: pair with client engineers, build capability, create documentation for handover.
• Shape Insight's Future: capture patterns, mentor newer FDEs, contribute to accelerator library.
