Job summary

The Ministry of Justice (New Zealand) in Wellington Central is seeking a Principal Advisor Employment Relations for the People Experience team. This permanent, full-time role provides strategic ER advice to senior leaders, leads bargaining strategy and shapes PX policies and practices.

You will coach ER advisors, handle complex ER matters and build trusted relationships with unions and senior leaders while upholding te Tiriti o Waitangi commitments.

This is an opportunity to shape employment relations across the Ministry and influence how we build strong, productive relationships with our people and unions. You'll provide strategic advice to senior leaders, lead bargaining strategy, guide complex ER matters and shape policy, tools and practices across PX. You'll also coach others and lead projects that improve the employee experience.

Utu ċtċa/Salary

The remuneration band for this role is $130,129 to $179,192 - while the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience, we are willing to pay higher in the band to attract strong candidates into this role.
