Job summary

Ministry of Justice New Zealand is seeking a Principal Advisor Employment Relations – People Experience (PX) in Wellington Central. You will provide strategic advice to senior leaders, lead bargaining strategy, guide complex ER matters and shape policy, tools and practices across PX.

You will also coach others and lead projects that improve the employee experience. Join a team dedicated to strong, productive relationships with staff and unions, shaping employment policy, practice, and processes

This is an opportunity to shape employment relations across the Ministry and influence how we build strong, productive relationships with our people and unions. You'll provide strategic advice to senior leaders, lead bargaining strategy, guide complex ER matters and shape policy, tools and practices across PX. Utu ā-tau/Salary

The remuneration band for this role is $130,129 to $179,192 – while the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience, we are willing to pay higher in the band to attract strong candidates into this role.
