The Authorisations and Advisory team sits at the heart of WorkSafe's regulatory operations, providing expert advice, overseeing authorisation and exemption activities, and supporting informed decision-making across the organisation. Working closely with industry, regulatory partners and senior leaders, the team manages complex issues, drives continuous improvement, and helps deliver better health and safety outcomes for workers and businesses across Aotearoa.
Play a key role in shaping WorkSafe's authorisations and advisory function by providing strategic advice, leading complex pieces of work and supporting high-quality regulatory decision-making. Working closely with senior leaders, regulatory partners and industry stakeholders, you'll help strengthen systems and processes, manage emerging risks and deliver insights that contribute to safer workplaces across New Zealand

The expected appointment base salary is $130,000.00 (KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contributions are additional). From 1 April 2026 our KiwiSaver employer contribution increased to 3.5%.
