Job summary

Cornerstone Christian School in Palmerston North area is seeking a fully registered primary teacher for a Year 6 maternity-leave position. The role is full-time, fixed-term from 27 January 2027 to 15 December 2027, covering Years 1–15 in a supportive, Christian Special Character environment.

The successful candidate will work in a collaborative team, build positive relationships with students, staff, whānau, and community, and demonstrate strong curriculum delivery and assessment knowledge.

Cornerstone Christian School is seeking a primary teacher who is fully registered with the NZ Teaching Council, for a Year 6 class maternity leave, full-time position (1.0FTTE).

Cornerstone Christian School is a Year 1-13 Special Character (Christian) Area School of around 600 students located just on the outskirts of Palmerston North. It is a fun and supportive place to work, well-resourced and with great students.

This position will suit a teacher who enjoys working in a close-knit team, values strong relationships, and enjoys contributing to the school’s Special Character.

We are looking for a teacher who:
