Job summary

Inspired Education Group is seeking an experienced Primary Physical Education Teacher for ACG Strathallan College in South Auckland. The role involves delivering Cambridge-aligned PE to Years 1–6, coaching school sports teams, and contributing to the broader life of the school in a supportive, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will have NZ Teacher registration, proven differentiation skills, and a commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Physical Education to primary years.
• Ability to plan and deliver differentiated PE lessons.

• Strong relationships with students, staff and families.
• Experience coaching school sports teams and promoting participation.
• Contribute to wider school life through activities and events.
• Cambridge International knowledge is advantageous.
• NZ teacher registration and teaching qualifications required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Physical Education lessons for students in Years 1-6, aligned with the Cambridge curriculum and school expectations.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing learning environment that supports student wellbeing, participation, and achievement.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities, events, camps, and pastoral care responsibilities.
• Coach and lead school sports teams, promoting excellence, teamwork, sportsmanship, and student participation in competitive sport.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to enhance teaching practice, curriculum delivery, and student outcomes.
• Uphold the school's safeguarding, health and safety, and professional standards while building strong relationships with students, staff, and families.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Demonstrated experience teaching Physical Education to students across primary years, with the ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
• Proven ability to plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that support student achievement and wellbeing.
• Experience assessing student progress, maintaining accurate records, and providing meaningful feedback to students and parents.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
• Experience coaching and leading school sports teams, with the ability to promote participation, teamwork, and sporting excellence.
• Experience contributing to the wider life of a school through extracurricular activities, events, camps, and pastoral initiatives.
• Previous experience with Cambridge International curricula is advantageous but not essential.
• NZ Teacher registration with supporting teaching qualifications (BA and/or MBA).
