Job summary

Foodstuffs North Island is offering a Commercial Analyst Intern role with Gilmours. You’ll dive into pricing and promotions, supporting category managers and assisting with pricing architecture to deliver customer value.

You’ll develop data analysis skills, work with Excel, and join a collaborative team. The program runs for 12 weeks from November in Māngere, Auckland, with mentorship and learning sessions.

Qualifications

• Studying towards a commerce/ law or IT degree, or related field.
• Interested in pricing, promotions and category decisions shaping customer value.
• Some experience using Excel and data analysis.
• Self-starter who can work independently yet collaborate in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support pricing and promotions analysis for Gilmours to assess value and pricing opportunities.
• Assist Category Managers and Category Assistants with day‑to‑day category support in Fresh categories.
• Support category reviews and pricing architecture with the commercial insights team.
• Help implement and review pricing changes, analysing results and opportunities for improvement.
• Produce clear data‑driven insights using Excel to support decisions.
