Job summary

Mag & Turbo North Shore is seeking a hands-on Tyre Fitter and Wheel Alignment Technician for our busy workshop in Wairau Valley. You’ll handle tyre fitting, balancing, puncture repairs, and alignments on a range of vehicles including SUVs, 4WDs, European and sports cars.

The role requires solid experience in tyre fitting and wheel alignments, strong suspension and alignment geometry knowledge, and a full NZ driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in tyre fitting and wheel alignments.
• Strong understanding of suspension, steering and alignment geometry.
• Experience operating wheel alignment equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• High standard of workmanship.
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• A full NZ driver's licence.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Alignment experience is essential.
• Must be willing to work Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Wheel alignments using modern alignment equipment.
• Tyre fitting, balancing and puncture repairs.
• Wheel and tyre fitments across SUVs, 4WDs, European and Sports Cars.
• Diagnosing tyre wear and alignment issues.
• Suspension and steering inspections.
• Correctly setting alignment angles and making adjustments.
• Carrying out work to a high standard and minimising comebacks.
• Providing friendly, professional service to customers.
• Keeping the workshop clean, organised and safe.
