Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking an Excavator Operator to expertly handle heavy machinery for excavation, movement, and material spreading. This role emphasizes precision operation, teamwork, and delivering quality results across various sites.

Applicants should have at least three years of relevant experience and be prepared for travel across Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, and other regions in New Zealand. 30 guaranteed hours and travel expenses are supported.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant excavation experience.
• Experience operating excavators and heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operation checks on plant machinery.
• Select and fit attachments for tasks.
• Operate excavators with precision to move materials.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust controls.
• Follow plans and verbal instructions to meet project requirements.
• Conduct routine maintenance and refueling.
• Transport and position heavy machinery on site.
• Assess attachments to ensure proper fit.
• Operate manual and hydraulic controls for attachments.
