Job summary

Tradestaff in Napier is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join a modern Napier manufacturing workshop. You will produce precision sheet-metal components from CNC press brake machinery using engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate, high-quality work.

Location is Napier, Hawke's Bay with ASAP start. Pay rate is $32-$35 per hour, and you will work in a busy workshop focused on meeting production schedules while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience with press brake or similar fabrication machinery.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Attention to detail and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC press brake machinery.
• Install punches, dies and tooling.
• Set programs, bend angles and machine parameters.
• Produce components to specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Perform first-off inspections and dimensional quality checks.
• Maintain safe, efficient production.
