Job summary

NZ Recruit is seeking an experienced Press Brake and/or Turret Operator for the night shift in a busy sheet metal press shop. The role involves setting up and operating Turret and/or Press Brake machines to form, bend and straighten sheet metal to spec, while meeting quality and production targets.

This temp-to-perm opportunity offers a Monday–Friday 5:15pm–1:15am schedule and the chance to advance to a permanent role for the right candidate, with exposure to modern CNC equipment and high-tech

Qualifications

• Experience with press brake or turret machines preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and specifications.
• Commitment to quality and safety in manufacturing operations.

Press Brake / Turret Operator - Night Shift

Temp to Perm | Monday - Friday | 5:15pm - 1:15am

We are looking for an experienced Press Brake and/or Turret Operator to join a busy Press Shop working with sheet metal and high-tech CNC equipment.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous sheet-metal machinery experience who is looking for a long-term role with the potential to go permanent.

About the role:

• Monday to Friday, 5:15pm - 1:15am
• Setting up and operating Turret and/or Press Brake machinery
• Forming, bending and straightening sheet metal to specifications
• Reading and following work orders and production requirements
• Ensuring quality, quantity and delivery targets are met
• Working safely while maintaining a high level of productivity
• Working with modern CNC equipment and technology

About you:

• Previous Press Brake and/or Turret experience in sheet metal is preferred
• CNC machinery experience is an advantage
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
• Safety-conscious with a strong work ethic
• Keen to develop your skills and work with high-tech equipment

• Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
• Must be able to pass pre-employment checks
• Previous relevant experience is highly regarded
