Job summary

Altus NZ in Auckland's Highbrook site is seeking a practical, hands-on operator to safely run the aluminium plate saw and related cutting equipment. You will deliver accurate customer orders meeting specs and contribute to quality and safety.

Ideal candidates have prior machinery experience, a forklift licence (preferred), good attention to detail, and enjoy learning new skills in a busy manufacturing environment. On-site role with training and safety focus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on machinery operator with experience in manufacturing.
• Forklift licence preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Physically fit for regular manual handling.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate aluminium plate saw and cutting equipment.
• Perform pre-start inspections and safety checks.
• Pick, cut and prepare materials to specification.
• Operate forklifts and support warehouse workflows.
• Assist with production planning and stock control.
• Maintain daily equipment checks and basic maintenance.
• Support the Warehouse Manager and team.
