Job summary

Datacom in Auckland, NZ is seeking a Technical Pre-Sales Specialist to bridge technical capability and commercial outcomes. You will work with customers and our sales team to design, demonstrate, and deploy solutions in Datacom's Data Centres.

The role focuses on pre-sales technical expertise, data centre networking, and building lasting client relationships through workshops, PoCs, and tailored proposals. You should have pre-sales or sales experience, knowledge of hybrid cloud networking, and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Science, Engineering, Economics or related.
  • Certifications in AWS, Microsoft Azure or SDN Networking are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-sales technical support across Datacom's Data Centre solutions.
  • Focus on Data Centre and networking to design and demonstrate solutions.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations, product demonstrations and customer workshops.
  • Work with customers to assess, design and implement complex products and solutions.
  • Build proof-of-concept applications and rapid prototypes to demonstrate feasibility.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding objectives and buying criteria.
  • Coordinate and participate in sales campaigns, events and promotions.
  • Act as the primary interface between the client and the organisation, ensuring high levels of service.

About the Role (Your Why)

As a Technical Pre-Sales Specialist, you will be at the forefront of new business and revenue generation, working closely with customers toidentifyand deliver solutions that truly meet their needs. You will bridge the gap between technical capability and commercial outcomes, partnering with both our sales team and customers to design anddemonstratesolutions deployed across Datacom's Data Centres. Thisrolewillfocus on pre-sales technicalexpertiseand long-term client relationship management.


What You Will Do

  • Provide pre-sales technical support across Datacom's Data Centre solutions,

  • Primarily focusing on Data Centre and networking.

  • Deliver compelling sales presentations, productdemonstrationsand joint customer workshops

  • Work with customers to assess,designand implement complex products and solutions

What You Will Bring

  • Pre-sales or sales experience withaccount management capability

  • Sound knowledge ofHybrid Cloud networking, cloudworkloadsand Data Centre deployment

  • Strong analytical,diagnosticand problem-solving skills

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business outcomes

  • ABachelor'sdegreein Business, IT, Science, Engineering,Economicsor a related discipline

  • Certifications in AWS, Microsoft Azure or SDN Networking are highly regarded
