Job summary

Equinox IT is seeking a pragmatic .NET developer to join Wellington on a 3-month contract (mid-November start). You’ll dive into a large existing codebase, handle fuzzy requirements, and work directly with clients to turn them into working software.

Design, build, and maintain C# / .NET apps, collaborate with developers, architects, testers and clients, participate in Agile ceremonies, write automated tests, and manage CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).

Qualifications

• Strong commercial C# and .NET / .NET Core experience.
• SQL and Entity Framework proficiency.
• Solid testing discipline and clean, maintainable code.
• CI/CD and DevOps familiarity.
• Clear communication with both technical and non-technical people.
• Able to challenge ideas, and be challenged, without drama.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain C# / .NET applications, owning work from problem through to deployment and support.
• Work with developers, architects, testers, and clients to clarify requirements and agree on solutions.
• Take part in Agile ceremonies and code reviews.
• Write automated tests (xUnit, NUnit, FlaUI, CodedUI).
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployments (Azure DevOps preferred).
• Work with T-SQL and Entity Framework.
• Troubleshoot and fix issues across dev, test, and production.
