Job summary

Westpac is seeking a Power BI expert to join the Risk Analytics team for a four-month fixed-term opportunity in Auckland. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade dashboards, semantic models, and automated reporting solutions to support regulatory loan level disclosures and risk decisions.

You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to turn reporting needs into scalable, repeatable solutions, including dashboards, models and automated reports.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Strong semantic modelling, DAX, and Power Query skills.
• Solid SQL ability with large/complex datasets.
• Experience with Snowflake or Snowflake SQL is valuable.
• Familiarity with banking, risk, or regulatory reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-quality Power BI dashboards, reports and visuals.
• Develop scalable semantic models, datasets and reporting assets.
• Explore complex datasets and translate into actionable insights.
• Support Loan Level Data portfolio and regulatory reporting.
• Investigate and resolve data quality, reconciliation and reporting issues.
• Automate and standardise reporting processes to reduce manual effort.
• Ensure reporting solutions meet data governance, security and control requirements.
