Westpac NZ is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to join the BTNZ investment team. In this hybrid role, you will gain hands-on experience across portfolio management, investment research, market analysis and reporting, supporting trade execution and cashflows while developing investment insights for internal and external stakeholders.

You will work with Portfolio Managers to monitor funds, prepare commentary, deliver performance analyses and contribute to investment papers.

Formación

• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Statistics.
• Ideally 1+ year experience in financial services.
• Strong spreadsheet skills; intermediate macro or coding capability advantageous.
• Experience with Bloomberg or other financial market data platforms would be advantageous.
• Interest in completing CFA or equivalent postgraduate qualification.

Responsabilidades

• Support day-to-day management of diversified and wholesale investment portfolios, including cashflows, rebalancing, trade execution and settlements.
• Conduct investment market research and contribute to investment strategy papers, insights and recommendations.
• Develop and maintain investment indicators and dashboards to support portfolio decisions.
• Support external investment manager monitoring and due diligence.
• Prepare performance analysis, investment reporting and market commentary.
• Build relationships with brokers, custodians, fund administrators, investment managers and other external partners.
• Support compliance monitoring, regulatory reporting and sustainable investment analysis.
