Job summary

Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, Bermuda's premier luxury urban resort, is seeking a Pool Attendant to deliver professional guest service at the pool deck. Reporting to the Activities Manager, you will maintain towels, test chlorine, balance chemicals, clean the area, and support the laundry and pool operations.

This full-time role requires flexibility with hours including weekends/holidays, CPR certification, and a willingness to follow health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

  • CPR certification is required.
  • Lifesaving certificate is advantageous.
  • Irregular hours, split shifts, and holidays required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional guest service at the pool area.
  • Maintain towel supply and coordinate with laundry.
  • Test chlorine and balance pool chemicals.
  • Vacuum pool, remove debris and ensure water levels.
  • Keep pool deck clean and tidy.
  • Follow Health & Safety guidelines and epidemic-related procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Activities Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Consistently offer professional, engaging and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues to ensure an exceptional guest experience
  • Ensuring there are sufficient towels in the towel bins and collect additional supplies from the laundry department as needed
  • Test chlorine levels in pool and balance as required
  • Ensure pool is vacuumed thoroughly and clean debris as needed
  • Check water levels in pool and add more water as required
  • Ensure there is an empty towel bin available for soiled towels and sufficient trash bins placed around pool area
  • Clean umbrella tables and chairs and sweep pool deck as required
  • Ensure office area is clean and tidy
  • Clean debris from pool skimmers as required
  • Sweep the pool deck of debris
  • Ensure daily cleaning and replenishing of towel supply
  • Strict adherence to all Health & Safety training, guidelines and work practices previous, during and following an epidemic (whether local or global) that are established by Accor, local government, international bodies including the World Health Organization (WHO) and Center for disease control (CDC)
  • Perform any other function related duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Valid CPR certification is required
  • A lifesaving certificate would be advantageous
  • Applicants must be aware that irregular hours, split shifts and public holiday work apply to this position
Additional Information

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • Walking - 6-8 hrs/day.
  • Standing - 6-8 hrs/day.
  • Bending/Reaching - 6-8 hrs/day.
  • Pushing/Pulling - 4 hrs/day.
  • Physical Effort - may need to lift weight over 50lbs.
