Job summary

Green by Nature in Queenstown is seeking a reliable Playground Inspector to help maintain parks, playgrounds, and public spaces in the region.

You will handle inspection, maintenance, minor works, and site prep; a Full class 1 driver’s license is essential and 32 hours per week with potential extra hours are available. A pre-employment drug test and police check may be required as part of hiring processes.

Qualifications

• Broad range of handyperson skills and maintenance experience.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair playground equipment and surfaces.
• General garden maintenance and public facilities cleaning.
• Manual labour, carpentry, joinery, concreting using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
• Site preparation including barricading and signs and traffic management.

Responsibilities

• Carry out programmed and responsive building works to renew, upgrade, and maintain playgrounds, buildings and structures.
• Contribute to maintaining high-quality standards in parks, properties and facilities.
• Inspect and repair equipment, manage safety and usability of surfaces.
• Support general maintenance of gardens and public facilities when required.
