Job summary

Platypus Shoes Pty is hiring for a Christmas Sales Assistant at our Blenheim store. You’ll help customers find the right sneakers, unpack stock, and pack online orders during our peak season.

Whether you have retail experience or not, bring energy, a can-do attitude, and love for sneakers. Expect fast-paced days, a supportive team, and great discounts on Accent Group brands.

Qualifications

• Availability October 2026 to mid-January 2027, including weekends and late nights.
• Retail experience is helpful but not required.
• Passion for sneakers and delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Create a standout customer experience on every visit.
• Support team to meet sales and KPI targets.
• Manage stock: receive, restock, and keep shelves tidy.
• Pick and pack click & dispatch orders.
• Maintain a clean, inviting store appearance.
• Bring positive energy and team-first attitude to every shift.

About the Role

Step into the season in style with Platypus Shoes at our Blenheim store! As Christmas Sales Assistants, you'll bring energy, good vibes, and a can-do attitude to our busiest (and most fun) time of year.

From helping customers find their perfect kicks to unpacking stock or packing online orders, every shift brings something new. If you love sneakers, fast-paced days, and great people, you’ll fit right in.

What We're Looking For

• Full availability from October 2026 to mid-January 2027, including weekends, late nights, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day
• Retail experience is great, but not a must
• Passion for sneakers, streetwear, and delivering outstanding customer service
• Love the hustle of a fast-paced team environment
• Self-motivated and goal-driven
• Open to learning, feedback, and being your best
