Our Operations Engineering team is central to our manufacturing excellence, and this is your opportunity to play a key part in that success.

About the Role

We are looking for a Plastics Injection Molding Die Setter to join our Hamilton Manufacturing team. You will report to the Maintenance Manager and work closely with the Plastics Operations, Tool & Die, and Maintenance teams to ensure our molding machine and die-sets are optimised and well maintained for high-quality, reliable production.

In this hands-on, high-impact role, you will be at the heart of our production set-up and change-over process, contributing to operational uptime, product quality, and cost-efficiency.

Enjoy a 4 Days On, 4 Days Off Roster

Looking for a roster that gives you more time for life outside of work? This role operates on a 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern, giving you regular blocks of four consecutive days off.

Day or night shift options are available:

Night Shift: 8:00pm – 8:00am

The 4-on, 4-off pattern offers a great balance between work and personal time, with extended blocks of four days off and fewer commuting days. Whether you prefer working days or nights, you’ll have the opportunity to choose the shift pattern that best suits you.

In This Role You will:
  • Carry out safe, accurate tool changes and machine start-ups in line with production requirements
  • Ensure products meet or exceed quality specifications and assist with any product quality issues
  • Apply strong troubleshooting skills to resolve die or machine challenges quickly and effectively
  • Contribute to Lean activities to reduce waste and optimise change-over times
  • Plan ahead, manage time effectively, and support flexibility across shifts where required
  • Promote and maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping (6S), and teamwork
  • Actively support continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives within the Plastics team
About You

You’re mechanically minded, proactive, and thrive in a busy manufacturing environment. You take pride in precision, quality, and safety - and you enjoy working collaboratively to keep production running at its best.

Ideally, you’ll bring:
  • Trade qualification (Die Setter, Plastics Engineering, mechanical, fitter-welder or similar) or equivalent Level 4 manufacturing tooling experience
  • A Trade Certificate in Plastics Engineering, PAMPITO qualification, or relevant mechanical trade, Level 4 preferred
  • Proven experience as a plastics injection moulding die setter, including setting tools, completing mold changes, and starting up plastic injection molding machines
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Good planning, communication, and time management skills
  • Knowledge of Lean principles
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
