Job summary

A Physiotherapist position at Waitakere Hospital is open for a permanent, full-time role within the Community Child Health Team. We are seeking an experienced paediatric physiotherapist or a new graduate who is passionate about working with children in the community.

The successful applicant will join a skilled multidisciplinary team delivering services across Waitematā, with home visits, early childhood intervention, and inpatient respiratory support in Rangatira Ward.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current NZ Annual Practising Certificate.
• Experience in paediatric physiotherapy or community health is preferred.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide physiotherapy services to children in community and home settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary Community Child Health Team at Waitakere Hospital.
• Support inpatient paediatric respiratory therapy as part of Rangatira Ward.

Are you an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist looking for an opportunity to work in the community, or perhaps a New Graduate Physiotherapist who has already realised their passion to work with children? If this is you, then look no further. We are seeking someone fresh and new to come and join our wonderful Physiotherapy Team, as part of the Community Child Health Team based at Waitakere Hospital.

You will be joining a very experienced and highly skilled multi-disciplinary Community Child Health Team who are committed to providing excellent therapy services for our children across the Waitematā region. All aspects of our work are provided in partnership with families and community agencies involved in the care of the child - based on the child’s strengths and goals.

Our physiotherapy team work across a community based model of care with a focus on supporting therapy needs for disabled or developmentally delayed preschool children therapy in their homes, early childhood or local community facility; as well as an inpatient based model of care with a focus on acute respiratory therapy for children admitted to the Rangatira Paediatric Ward.

You will need to hold a current NZ Annual Practising Certificate as well as a NZ driver’s licence for this role.
