Job summary

TBI Health Group New Zealand is seeking up to three experienced Physiotherapists or Occupational Therapists to join our Auckland Well At Work team. The role spans ACC Vocational Rehabilitation Services, early intervention, and private vocational services with autonomy and strong team support.

These are full‑time positions (1.0 FTE) across Auckland, with preferred areas on the North Shore and South Auckland. Some admin can be completed from home to support work‑life balance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience in vocational rehabilitation, occupational health, or return‑to‑work services.
• Postgraduate qualification in occupational health or vocational rehabilitation desirable.
• Candidate must be a registered Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with NZ APC and indemnity insurance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vocational assessments for ACC-funded, early intervention, and private clients to enable safe return‑to‑work outcomes.
• Deliver education, rehabilitation, and work‑focused interventions across various workplace settings.
• Coordinate return‑to‑work programmes including workplace assessments and job task analysis.
• Liaise with employers, case managers, and healthcare providers to support clients.
• Provide workplace education in manual handling, injury prevention, and ergonomics.

About The Mahi (Role)

We have an exciting opportunity for up to three experienced and motivated Physiotherapists or Occupational Therapists to join our Auckland Well At Work team.

This is a dynamic, community-based role with a varied caseload spanning ACC Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS), early intervention, and private vocational services - no two days are the same.

You’ll enjoy the best of both worlds: autonomy in your day‑to‑day work, alongside strong support from a collaborative team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Vocational Consultants.

These are full-time positions (1.0 FTE), with flexibility to work across Auckland. While we welcome applications from all locations, North Shore and South Auckland are preferred areas.

You’ll also have the flexibility to complete administrative tasks from home, supporting a healthy and sustainable work‑life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct vocational assessments for ACC-funded, early intervention, and private clients to enable safe and sustainable return‑to‑work outcomes.
• Deliver client education, rehabilitation, and work‑focused interventions across a variety of workplace settings.
• Coordinate return‑to‑work programmes, including workplace assessments, job task analysis, and liaison with employers, case managers, and healthcare providers.
• Provide workplace education and training in manual handling, injury prevention, and ergonomics.
• Support the development and promotion of vocational rehabilitation services across Auckland, building strong relationships with employers and key stakeholders.

Skills and Experiences

About You

We’re looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience, ideally in vocational rehabilitation, occupational health, or return‑to‑work services. A post‑graduate qualification in occupational health or vocational rehabilitation is desirable, and we welcome applicants who are willing to work toward one.

To succeed in this role, you will be:

• A registered Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with a current NZ Annual Practising Certificate (APC), professional body membership and indemnity insurance.
• Experienced in managing vocational caseloads and coordinating return‑to‑work programmes.
• Confident engaging with employers, ACC, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, meet KPIs, and deliver quality outcomes.
• Skilled in clinical IT systems and producing high‑quality vocational reports.
• A proactive team player who can also work autonomously.
• Committed to client‑centred care and ongoing professional development.
• Holder of a full, clean NZ driver’s licence and willing to travel across the region.
