Job summary

Bargain Chemist in Dunedin seeks a meticulous Inventory Administrator for its South Dunedin store. You will receive, unpack, and update stock, maintain stock levels in our system, and liaise with suppliers to resolve discrepancies.

This full-time role offers development opportunities, a fast-growing Kiwi-owned company, and the chance to contribute to reliable stock and customer service across our stores.

Qualifications

• Previous inward goods/inventory experience.
• Attention to detail and deadline driven, especially with numbers and data entry.
• Ability to stay calm, composed, and focused under pressure.
• Fit and able to lift boxes.
• Pharmacy Retail or FMCG background (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Receiving and unpacking multiple stock deliveries each day. No forklift operation required.
• Receiving stock into our system and maintaining stock levels; follow up with suppliers on discrepancies.
• Active management of stock inventory; liaise with suppliers and branches to address overstocks/understocks.
• Invoice reconciliation and filing.
• Price updating the stock on hand.
• Ensuring stock placement is meticulous and accessible.
• Provide information/product knowledge to other staff.

What You’ll Bring to Life in this Role

• Responsible for receiving and unpacking multiple stock deliveries each day. Please note, no forklift operation or license is required for this role.
• Receiving of stock into our system and maintenance of stock levels. Following up with suppliers where there are discrepancies.
• Active management of stock inventory, including liaising with suppliers and other branches where required to address any overstocks/under stocks.
• Invoice reconciliation and filing.
• Price Updating the stock on hand.
• Ensuring the placement of stock is meticulous and easily accessible.
• Provide information/Product Knowledge to other staff members.
