Job summary

Rentokil Initial in Auckland, NZ is seeking a hands-on Pest Control Technician to join our field-based team. You''ll conduct site inspections, apply pest control treatments, advise customers on prevention, and maintain digital service reports.

You must have permanent NZ working rights, a valid driver''s licence, and strong customer service skills. We offer comprehensive training, and occasional travel or overnight stays may be required.

In this role, you'll be the first line of defence in the fight against pests, solving customer problems with expert advice and proactive service.

We Currently Have Two Positions Open

• North Shore: Covers clients from the Harbour Bridge up to Orewa.
• Auckland CBD: Covers the central regions, from Penrose up to the Harbour Bridge.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough site inspections to identify pest activity and determine treatment plans
• Apply pest control solutions and advise customers on prevention/management

• Deliver outstanding, professional customer service

A Successful Candidate Will Have

• Full-time, permanent work rights in NZ
• Full, clean driver's licence and a clean criminal record
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Physically fit with a strong focus on health and safety
• Comfortable and able to work outdoors in various environmental conditions
• Self‑motivated with great time management
• High attention to detail and pride in high standards
• Confident using mobile apps and technology
• Flexible to travel and stay away overnight if needed
• Pest control regulations and methods experience is a bonus

Desirable, But Not Essential

• New Zealand Certificate in Pest Operations - Urban Pest Control
• Current NZ Firearm Licence
• Experience and licences for Working at Heights and Elevated Work Platforms
• Ability to operate a manual vehicle

Candidates must hold permanent full working rights in New Zealand. Preferred applicants will undergo standard pre‑employment checks, including medical assessments, reference checks, and criminal history verification, adhering to Rentokil Initial standards.
